The Fireside Shades from Shades of Nature are made from papers that are all handmade one piece at a time, many have leaves or bark embossed in them, some of the papers are highly textured, native plants are used to create the dies used to give them their colors and others are sun washed which is a process where the leaves are placed on the paper and left in the sun until a shadow of the leaves are left. Each piece is unique and a work of art in its own right. They are very beautiful either off or lit up and they will bring a warmth and glow to any room in your home. Each shade is laced with leather on the top and bottom and you can choose from either wood or antler buttons.

The Wildlife Shades are made from a special paper that has the same characteristics as natural rawhide but doesn't have the maintenance and cracking issues. There are variations in the paper color and texture and when the shades are lit up they give a warm glow while adding a lot of light to your room. Classic Drum Shades are used on many styles of lamps to acheive different looks. They can be made in most any size and are commonly used on 1940 and 1950 style floor lamps. They are available in any of the hand made papers shown on the Fireside Collection or the swatches below. The glass buttons along the botton of the shade is a popular detail. The Aspen Lamps are aprox. 18" tall to the bottom of the lamp hardware, are finely sanded and finished with a catalyzed laquer. There is lots of character and worm tracks. All lamps come with a 3way switch.

Burl Wood Lamps

The Burl Wood Lamps are aprox. 18" to the bottom of the lamp hardware. The knarly burls are a result of an injury to the tree, which forms these burls as part of the healing process. All lamps come with a 3way switch.

Pine Cone Lamps

The Pine Cone Lamps are aprox. 18" to the bottom of the lamp hardware. The wood body is a rich golden brown and in most lamps you can still see the curf marks of the circular saw. The pine cones in the front are real. All lamps come with a 3way switch.

Wood & Antler Lamps

Our rustic Wood & Antler Lamps are of a classic nature. The base is a molesworth style, the antler is a natural shed and the western look is acheived with a drum shade. This cabin table lamp is made from lodge pole pine and is finely sanded and finished. All lamps come with a 3way switch. Rustic lamp shades & finials sold seperately.
